“We Shared Shame to Memory (So, Too, Desire)” Philosophy by Jasmin Ivanković
My philosophy as someone who occasionally echos the posthumanist line of thought, is to believe that ‘wisdom is actually having learned because it chages the present;’ because, here’s the ultimate thing: if in pivotal moments of waking life you cannot stop and compare the current occurrences that are unfolding and make adjustments with those (famous/infamous), (personal/interpersonal), (real/counterfactual), lessons (learned/unlearned) of your objective past occurances/experiences, to have per force realizations, based on things you’ve already learned, then you are not exerting wisdom. That’s the ultimate anchor, which is akin to not doing something that sounds basic but most find some alternative default in action/thought patterns that shall do little to guide them towards their freedom. Freedom from all the things that will eat you alive; and they let it be ‘to devour’ or to ‘be devoured’ played out on earth, forever & ever, “in mariad petty, un-sexy ways.” (DFW). Correct me if I’m wrong – You may service the bad wolf, just never feed a lion, because no act of making it grow up and dependent on you will change its perceived required aggression (or other primal urges). You may enjoy your birdcage, just don’t sing in it forever & ever. When will I learn not to run away? When will everything be okay? I wouldn’t wait. #wisdom #philosophy #posthumanism #davidfosterwallace

“With Realizations of Empathy” by Jasmin Ivanković
February 17, 2024
poetry
On empathy,
Jasmin Ivankovic
Love
Poems,
For I’ll forever know what I’ve known,
But not how I’ve seen.
I’ll recall most things,
but not always
What they mean.
With realizations of empathy.
You’ll know I’m kind and gentle.
A man you could maybe need.
You’re surely what your family wanted,
You even met their needs.
I’m just as I’ve always wanted.
‘To be’ is not what ‘it used to be’.
But ‘to think’ or ‘not to think’
in reality comes first,
When you’re me.
It’s kindness to my senses,
The way you seem.
When nothing could take it back
I saw a sign from you
and what you feel.
With realizations of empathy.
I’ll open with
Something you’ve never rehersed.
You’ll tell me what it means…
To start over, again.
I’ll know it meant
Something else
to your sentimentality.
And sometimes,
It’s easy to forget how to be,
So I’ll write reminders in my head.
I know you’ll doubt
How much such reminders matter
For what they meant – but, to me,
It’s besides the point.
I’ll take the love I can get.
With realizations of empathy;
I’ll forever know
The great effort my hands knew,
As they often speak,
Like my body,
Before a word uttered.
‘I’m in love with you,’ you muttered,
With realizations of empathy.
A SPELLCASTER & MUSICIAN: The Meaning Behind His Latest Album, Broken Spells & New Calluses
The songs you can find in my most recent album have a philosophy lofi rock sound to them, but the theme is that of a spellcaster and musician. In this post, I’ll take a minute to tap into what each of the songs means to me! I see a lot to them but I’m willing to discribe what their essence entails as they are full of metaphoric ideas, each posing a unique spell, each finding its home in this album of rhythmic and grungey origins.
It goes: I. The Shadow Lotus,
A compact Spell of Existentialism on a journey that you know will last your entire life;
Spell; II. Broken Spells & New Calluses,
The Nostalgia Spell made by seeing a beautiful height & reflecting on the past, only to encounter vertigo because you knew it was not love she felt;
III. We Share Shame to Memory (So, Too, Desire),
A spell that entails Wisdom & Enlightenment but the kind that is spurred in the reality landscape so internal to your mind that you have to just live with the present, never to image the future the same way;
IV: Medication,
A Spell of Postmodern Self-Fulfilling Prophecy due to what we depend on to keep us alive, with an effect of Vivdry & Imagination in the way of what that means to your heart when your mind can’t keep up;
V: They Don’t Understand (My Pain),
A Spell of Paranoia with an effect of Counter-Culture pulled to focus, which was made of finding yourself numb to someone else’s weaknesses;
VI. God’s Eyes, a spellbound Dogma where you feel the Solidarity of a darkness, with the effects of unknown delusions created through the path of hyperbolic realities of a Postmodern guru’s superpowers, telling a tale of profound omnipresence or metaphoric attachment to the idea of power;
VII: Second Chances,
A mello and clean electric guitar spell of what it means to forgive others & yourself for what you’ve lacked, like a bird who secretly likes their own cage a bit too much, to give your psyche realization of the reality your life was not meant for perfection and that’s what you were destined for.

“LIGHTHOUSE,” a Creative Poem by Jasmin Ivanković
“Lighthouse” #poetry by #jasminivanković
I’ll have more good days
after my lighthouse knows
My everlasting why,
A vision of its grace
– I felt dizzy looking at my own face.
In a lighthouse in which
I knew the wavelength of myself
Reflected in a mirror,
I keep it as my own home
Of sacred knowledge as a seer.
Made of a syndrome,
Made of perpetual growth,
Living with long-lasting shadows,
I know all these from my ceiling*,
I know these things for myself.
I felt this day has an interpretation,
Seen quintessentally
From the same eyes
My father had,
I had then decided
To draw from my current need,
The first highest,
By no means of passing control.
When I knew it could never end,
So I’d never let
Anyone find their way in,
But I’d show you
How quickly a spell
Made by Locusts, can.
I guess they, too, have felt
My dispare,
I saw it in MY mind,
Maybe it is the case,
It’d take a fire in the soul,
To lose every person
Who spoke
With a shallow speak,
And you wouldn’t know
The joy I lost on the way
Of each “don’t care;”
I made the lighthouse of myself,
A self to be,
A shell of my own boundaries,
The inner ring of me.
I never did find in them, forgiven.
One thousand Baclavas,
I’ll forgive you.
You, too, shall know
That is what gives
To my life each day
Was still found within
On the day of transformation
– I felt a heavy breath,
Casting the formulation
Of an encapsulated Doxastic (from a δόξα)
Logic to a realistic end.
This lighthouse explains the mind,
Do you have to mention the unmentionable, my friend?
