Poem ~ “Gather Why”

I miss my Abbott,

In a body used to lingering kindly,

You would have to ask me, for my sense

Who are they to know me?

Late at night, late last year, and it was in early fall.

I stood living true to being mezmorized,

I explain, half-hazardly, my mathematics in Carver hall,

Did no one there care to ask me much other than a simple how? to gather why.

I want my chaotic trend to restabilize.

More coffee today?

Less leisure in the way?

More coffee over time?

I’m the ghost in the shell is why.

Watch for changes

I’ve seen a change; And,

I’ve moved on again

Was it too late to correct?

The same to you

I’m still thinking that

It is what it was,

And so are we

– the same

As we were.

I’m, too, dreaming that

I’m leading as I was,

And I’ll land with you

– the same

As we were.

Qusai-Back-To-Reality

I’m here,

Or was,

As I should say.

I’m free,

For now,

But what is in the way?

Nothing’s going to change.

Do you care to dance?

Nothing’s going to land.

Are we?

Are we?

The Equated Home to Reason

Reason lives in Questions;

Ask her, ask her to Imagine.

I shone a light, a start to life,

A beginning, middle, without end.

Most things, that have been,

Come boxed with Conditions.

Whether you’ve made something

Simple or complicated,

Reason says her Truth

“Depends.”

I live perforce premise.

I live. I’ve lived. I live.

I arose, I’ve arose, I’ve arisen.

I decide, I’ve decided, and dare to

Come to a decision;

I shall wake up and start again.

“Phi Breakthrough” by Jay Ivankovic

Spent the time

Finding distance.

I’m here,

Just like you,

All alone in existence.

And I’ve cried but

Nothing wanes my persistence.

As I leave,

As I should,

Purely because

Someone wished it.

And now I cannot decide

What it means,

For me,

To have missed it.

Just know that it’s not your fault

That I left.

Never had to be the one

You need.

To The Stranger,

A Forgotten Friend

“I’m Complete Inside” by Jay Ivan

No matter your first move,

Make your next one count.

Purpose finds herself lost in doubt,

She’d never sell her soul,

She’d never burn out.

Friendship knows that

You need someone like Trust.

Open your eyes,

Expand your mind,

Go without Lust.

Consciousness found, deep down,

That he fell for both

Escape and Love.

Love adores him conditionally; because

She knows he cares unconditionally for his wife.

Escape loves Infinity and tells him to stare.

He remembers days from after Summer,

Where he lives with Truth, bringing

A cold and empty “take care.”

Consciousness repeats to himself:

I know I’m complete inside,

I know I’m complete inside.

“It Is Why We Never Feel Ok” by Jay Ivankovic

Wisdom speaks of shades of grey,
It is why we never feel ok.
Trust,
I know we’ll meet again someday.
We’ll watch a sunset,
Waiting for tomorrow’s play.
Freedom speaks of Love and War.
She keeps us here, wanting more.
Beauty simply holds the door,
Questioning Life unlike before.
Fear is never afraid of herself,
Sharpening knives before she forgives and forgets.
Preditors never quit their quest,
Only with Tragedy do their Instincts rest.
